Working under both the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974 and Heritage Act 1977, we create reports covering the Due Diligence process as well as Statements of Heritage Impacts (SOHI).
Legal issues regarding the accidental damage of cultural materials are covered through following the Due Diligence Code of Practice for the Protection of Aboriginal Objects in New South Wales.
A typical workflow will include:
1. A chat
2. Site visit
3. Desktop review
4. Draft report: simultaneously delivered with an executive summary of findings
Some sites do contain more nuanced evaluations which may require future amendments to the basic workflow. These will be discussed and worked through in a palatable manner.

Using our knowledge of soils and sediments within NSW, we initially focus on understanding the context below our feet before making proceeding with any potentially damaging work.
The plus side to this is to reduce the size of the areas that may need further heritage monitoring by working out potential archaeological deposits.
